Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Miravento (miravento.win) collects when you read our career guides, field analyses, rankings, and salary benchmarks — and the rights you hold over it under the GDPR, LGPD, and other data-protection laws.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

1. Scope and Acceptance

This Privacy Policy applies to Miravento (the "Service"), operated as an independent encyclopedia of emerging work skills and technical careers. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

Miravento does not operate user accounts. We collect only what the Service needs to function:

Information you give us directly. If you email the editorial desk (for example with a correction or methodology question), we receive your email address, name if you provide one, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond and, where relevant, to act on a correction.

Usage and device data. When you browse, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically receives standard technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. Server logs are used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic statistics.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small set of cookies for site functionality and, where enabled, analytics and advertising. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to control them.

3. How We Use Information — Processing Specifics

We process personal data only for defined purposes, matched to a lawful basis:

  • Operating and securing the site — delivering pages, preventing abuse and attacks. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); LGPD Art. 7, IX.
  • Answering correspondence — replying to corrections and inquiries. Lawful basis: legitimate interests / steps at your request.
  • Aggregate analytics — understanding which guides and fields readers value, in aggregated or de-identified form. Lawful basis: legitimate interests or consent, depending on your cookie choices.
  • Advertising (where served) — displaying and measuring ads, including personalized ads only where you have consented. Lawful basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); LGPD Art. 7, I).
  • Legal compliance — responding to lawful requests and protecting our rights. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build individual profiles beyond what is described above. Correspondence is retained for up to 24 months for context; server logs rotate within 90 days; analytics data is retained per our providers' default settings.

4. Applicable Regulations and Your Rights

Depending on where you live, your use of the Service is protected by comprehensive data-protection laws. We honor the following frameworks:

European Union / EEA — GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679): you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing; and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

Brazil — LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Law No. 13,709/2018): you have the rights to confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, portability, information about shared use, and revocation of consent, exercisable free of charge through our contact point below.

California — CCPA/CPRA: you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information. Other regions (UK GDPR, PIPEDA, and similar laws) are honored on the same principles.

To exercise any right, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days (or the period your local law requires) and may ask proportionate questions to verify your identity.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Opt-Outs

Where analytics or advertising cookies are enabled, we ask for consent where required and honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out. You can also control cookies directly in your browser settings — see our Cookie Policy for instructions.

Personalized advertising opt-out links. If ads are served through Google, you can turn off ad personalization and review how Google's partner sites use your data at any time:

Opting out of personalization does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalized. Analytics and advertising providers act as independent controllers or processors under their own published policies.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers — hosting, security, analytics, and advertising vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
  • Legal requirements — where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Service and its readers.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections.
  • With your consent — in any case you explicitly authorize.

7. International Transfers and Data Security

Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where personal data leaves the EU/EEA, UK, or Brazil, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and minimal data collection by design. No internet transmission is completely secure; if you believe your interaction with us is no longer safe, contact us immediately.

8. Children's Privacy, Third-Party Links, and Changes

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our guides cite and link to third-party sources (BLS, WEF, Stanford HAI, documentation, and training resources). Those sites have their own privacy practices, for which we are not responsible.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date; material changes will be highlighted for at least 30 days. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Contact

Privacy questions, requests, and complaints: [email protected] (subject: "Privacy Request"). If you are in the EU/EEA or Brazil and remain unsatisfied, you may also contact your local data-protection authority.
